acrylic paintings
Making a Mess, 2023
This painting was the main feature of my exhibition because it reminds me of how much fun I had making it. Painting this was the first time I felt like I was really letting myself have fun.
Say "Ahhhh!", 2023
Following Making a Mess, I wanted to further explore the same painting style with more characters and poses.
Two-Piece, 2023
This was borne out of me wanting to go bigger with my art! I decided to stretch the painting out over two canvases, making essentially a life-sized portrait of this character's body.
Birthday Girl, 2023
Inspired by a picture I saw of a girl with cake smeared on her face, this painting allowed me to experiment a bit with different textures and levels of paint thickness.
Moxie, 2023
This was me trying out mixed media; I used acrylic paint, Sharpies, paper mache, and hot glue.
Alex, 2022
Portrait of Alex from A Clockwork Orange (dir. Stanley Kubrick, 1972).
Emory and Evyn, 2024
Painting of myself and my boyfriend. Made with acrylic paint and Sharpies; background done using Lego bricks as stamps.
Bartek, 2023
Portrait of Steve Bartek from the band Oingo Boingo.
